“In summer 1999 a particularly hot weekend I was driving with the window down when the wind blew some dust in my eye, causing it to itch and burn a lot. I stopped and washed my eyes with cold water, which brought a little relief but the burning continued. It got so bad that I had to go home and bathe it every 5 minutes. I felt there was something gritty and cloudy in my eye, I tried Optrex but that made it worse. It felt like an extra skin had grown inside of my eyelid. I had to lift the eyelid and remove a white layer of skin to find relief. This was the beginning of my hay fever horror.
Every year I suffered more symptoms; runny/blocked nose, headaches, runny/itchy eyes with a white-layer build up, swollen glands/ tonsils. I took every hay fever medicine I could buy, but they brought only temporary relief. When the symptoms worsened further we got prescriptions from my GP. The eyes got so bad I went to Moorfields eye hospital, they took tests and said it wasn’t hay fever, it was infection, and gave me medicine. It worked for a while but the symptoms always came back. It was now affecting my job, my well being, my health, everything.
The severe attacks would come at any time, day, afternoon, night, even indoors, and they were worsening. My last resort was to get a hay fever injection but I was told it was too late and I would have to wait till next year. My local chemist recommended Alex Christie. I was sceptical, but after lengthy discussions with my wife decided to try her. I was sure once she saw how bad my eyes were she would not be able to help since I was convinced that no one suffered as badly as I did.
Alex proved me wrong. She was friendly, attentive and reassuring, doing tests that did not hurt, and confirming allergies were the cause of the hay fever. She answered many of our questions and assured us the medicine would work.
The rest is HISTORY! The remedies worked instantly and I have not experienced hay fever since, I am now on my second course to ensure it never comes back.”

Glue Ear
Jake, aged 4, had suffered from glue ear and ear infections, followed by repeated antibiotic treatment, ever since he was just a few months old. His mother noticed a link to dairy produce and eliminated these from his diet. Whenever Jake ate any cheese, which he loved, his ears would fill with catarrh again. His doctor suggested grommets. Allergy testing revealed an intolerance not only of dairy produce but other foods as well. Homoeopathic treatment combined with a food desensitisation program put an end to his glue ear, made any grommet operation unnecessary, and Jake now happily eats the foods that previously were so problematic.

Migraines
Mrs S. E. of Richmond had been suffering from frequent crippling migraines that lasted for 3 days or more for over 8 years. Allergy testing revealed multiple dietary intolerances, in particular to food additives, which we found were the main trigger. Over several months the migraines gradually diminished and S.E. rarely suffers from migraines now.

Intolerance to central heating fumes
Mr G.S. could not understand why every autumn his health started to decline, worsening as the winter wore on and only improving suddenly late spring.
